Backyard Container Homes is a shipping container home builder located in Prosperity, SC . We are a small family owned business that is focused on providing affordable and alternative housing solutions in todays expensive housing market.

Over the course of five generations of Residential Home Building and carpentry, our family has seen the housing market demands include Contractor built homes, Patio Homes, Custom built homes, Production homes, Sub-contractor built homes, Track homes, Modular homes, Mobile Homes and Tiny homes. After coming across the idea of “Preppers” using shipping containers to fortify/build shelters and or homes we decided to begin using our knowledge and expertise in construction to modernize “Tiny Home” Living space.

Future and Current homeowners are battling with the increase of pricing during the current housing market demand. Subdivisions and housing developments are being built as quickly as possible to keep up with the demand for its consumers. However, not everyone is financially capable of investing in a $300,000 home or more. There are many situations where someone may not be able to afford a traditional residential home.

Would you prefer to invest in property and build a “Tiny Home” in the backyard with the options of constructing a traditional home in the future when you are more finically stable? Or maybe you have an alternative idea for a smaller living space. A “Tiny Home” like a traditional home requires constant upkeep and could have costly renovations over time. A Backyard Container Home is more durable and eco friendly compared to alternative housing solutions. Shipping Containers are built to withstand all types of environmental weather and are the perfect “shell” to build a secure home. While having options of offering recycled and reused shipping containers to build shipping container homes, we are able to eliminate wasteful use of these shipping containers. Although not all of our container homes are built from reused containers we strive to work with each customer to use them when applicable to help reduce cost and to minimize ecological impact of only using brand new containers.
